I started my Reina socks this week. They were from the first shipment of the 2008 Woolgirl Sock Club. It took me a few months to find the time to get them started, but I am really hoping to keep up with the two clubs that I am in this year.

While at MSU on Sunday I took along Loopy from the Loopy Ewe. Sheri had sent him along in a recent order so that he could go on summer vacation. It is a postcard that you are supposed to take a picture of in exotic locales. On our road trip Loopy got to meet Sparty. Sparty is a statue on campus that until recently was a ceramic figure. He got a bit difficult to clean when Wolverines from U of M would come up and paint him blue. So he was recast in bronze with the ceramic original safely ensconced inside. It is a definite must stop when you visit campus and I was proud to introduce him to Loopy:

Ever since I became a member at Ravelry and was told about this wonderful local yarn store in Lansing, I have been dying to visit it. We live about an hour and a half away though, so it isn’t a matter of just jumping in the car. For Father’s Day yesterday we decided to go on a road trip.

Drove home today after my daughter’s end of the year school picnic to find a priority mailbox on my front porch. That means it is once again time for the Woolgirl Sock Club! Yay! I’ve included a picture and description below. Don’t click unless you want a spoiler.
