I’m so excited to be a part of the Zenstring Benefit stocking. I would like to share the item that I knit. I’m so tempted to bid on it myself
Using Lotus Toes Sportweight in Angelina’s ‘Secret Garden’ colorway I am contributing a pair of socks:

I still need to finish the second sock, but rest assured it will be finished by the auction’s end. Please check out the other beautiful items up for bid too. There is handspun, hats, longies, soakers, retired colorway yarns, and more. All proceeds will go directly to Angelina to help her get her yarn business up and running again. Thank you!

In anticipation of the Tiny Lady Cooperative Zen String benefit stocking that begins tomorrow, I decided to do a little tutorial on how to register an account with Hyena Cart. It isn’t that difficult and only takes a few minutes to do.

This was the fastest pair of socks that I have ever knit. I’m sure it helps that my skill level and understand of sock architecture increases with each pair. Plus this was a really fun pair to knit. Sure the colors are bright but I tend to wear socks that are a bit off the ordinary.

I just wanted to give a heads up that there will be a stocking on Hyenacart next week to help bring Zenstring back. Angelina has had a rough go of things in the last 4 months (has it been that long?) and some crafty people have banded together to make things a bit easier for her.
Tiny Lady Cooperative is hosting an auction of Zenstring yarn, handspun, and finished items, with all proceeds going directly to Angelina. I am happy to report that I am busy knitting something for this and can’t wait to get it listed.
Angelina’s yarns and colorways have given me such joy. I love to knit with her creations. I just want to give back in a tiny way by sending some joy her way. I hope that you will join me by bidding high and often

After finishing the Reina socks this week I was in sock knitting mode. So on Thursday I balled the Dashing Dachs Froggin yarn and cast on. The June Woolgirl Sock Club was another pattern by Lisa Dykstra. Again she put in a new technique of a right twist. It is where you knit two together, keep the stiches on the left needle, put the right needle between the stitches, knit one, and then drop them off the left needle. Sounds difficult, but is very easy to do. Gives a bit of a cable effect.

I finished the Reina socks this week. I really loved knitting these. The Mama Llama yarn was super nice to work with. It is very soft and slides on the needle very well. I was also able to use my brand new sock blockers from the Loopy Ewe.
