The Swap Arrived!
The swap that I sent out about a week and a half ago finally arrived. It had to travel from the U.S. to Canada, hence the long shipping time. Plus it was a mail holiday in Canada yesterday. Anyway it arrived and she loved it.
Using Araucania Patagonia Nature Cotton, I knit her a Caliometry. She doesn’t do wool, so I decided to knit it in cotton. She also loves rich colors and not pastels so I settled on this pomegranate like color. It knit up pretty fast and only took me about two nights of work. I also only cast on 110 stitches rather than 120 and I am glad that I did. I ended up being pretty big, but still a good size to cover your head and ears on a cold day.
Seeing as how it was a craft swap, you had to send one finished craft object and then supplies to do another craft. I added some neat jelly pens, a rainbow of ink stamp pads, and some scrapbook paper perfect for small projects. Here was the whole package:
I am so happy and relieved it made it to it’s destination. This swap was so much fun and I look forward to doing another.
