Beemer Knits Corriedale Oceanic

Published by thiselfknits at 10:11 pm under Yarn

I love handpainted yarn.  I have quite the growing collection of it.  Sort of embarrassing really.  Some I buy with a plan in mind.  Others I just have to have knowing the right project will come along.  The yarn I received today falls into the first category.  I belong to an online message board community and one of our members is having triplets, two boys and a girl.  She is going to use cloth diapers and we are surprising her with a soaker, longie, and sleep sack shower.

With only one girl in the bunch, I wanted to make her some things that are gender neutral.  I don't have much of that in my stash so I had to buy something.  Bummer.  I found the perfect yarn from Beemer Knits.  It is 6 oz. of Corriedale wool in the Oceanic colorway.  It is a combination of lovely blues with a very subtle green.  I also giggle a little bit about the colorway name, being a huge Lost fan.  I'm going to use it to make (hopefully) two sleep sacks with it in a newborn size.
